Stella Levantesi è giornalista climatica, fotografa e autrice. Ha scritto “I bugiardi del clima” (Laterza, 2021), pubblicato anche in Germania come “Klimalügen”. Si è formata alla scuola di giornalismo della New York University. Oggi collabora con testate italiane e internazionali e il suo lavoro è stato pubblicato su The Guardian, The New Republic, Internazionale, BBC News, Vogue Italia, Il Manifesto, Nature Italy, DeSmog, 7 Corriere, Domani e altri. Collabora con il centro di ricerca climatica dell’Università di Oxford. Si occupa in particolare di crisi climatica all’intersezione tra clima, politica e società, ed è specializzata nel negazionismo del cambiamento climatico e nella disinformazione sul clima. Stella è una speaker TEDx e il suo TED Talk sul negazionismo del cambiamento climatico si intitola “The dominance illusion: chi mente sul clima e perché”.

Stella Levantesi is an Italian climate journalist, photographer and author. She is the author of “I bugiardi del clima” (Laterza Editori, 2021), a book investigating climate change denial history and tactics, also published in Germany as “Klimalügen”. She has an MA from New York University’s Journalism Institute. Her work has been published in The Guardian, The New Republic, DeSmog, Nature, BBC News, Vogue Italy and others. Stella is the author of “Gaslit”, a column on DeSmog that seeks to navigate society’s dysfunctional relationship with fossil fuel disinformation. She works as a research consultant for the Climate Litigation Lab at the University of Oxford. Her main areas of expertise are climate change, climate change delay, denial and obstruction, and issues at the intersection of climate, politics and society. Stella is a TEDx speaker, her TED Talk on climate change denial is entitled “The dominance illusion: chi mente sul clima e perché” .
